Song
The great Catholic liturgical composes David Haas has shared this beautiful meditation on Psalm 139 (“I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”), composed on June 2019.
In his own words he said: “”You’ve Made me Wonderful” is a Taize-like refrain (or “mantra”) just repeated over and over as much as needed. It was simply composed as a song/gift for my friends in liturgy and music ministry, as well as for clergy (Catholic and Protestant) who work with LGBTQ folks. I was just thinking about it being Pride month, so the words to Psalm 139 came to mind, and I just sat at the piano and composed it in about three minutes. It came quickly and naturally. So I sent it (and posted on Facebook) as a “gift” for anyone who wanted to use it for liturgical or any other kind of celebration this month and beyond, and well, I received over 400 requests for the score in about 36 hours.”
The sheet music is included in the first comment below. David says, “Let people know they can make copies for free, as long as they include the copyright information.”
Hope you enjoy this brand new piece of music. ”

Prayer for LGBT Catholics
You gather me up, hold me close, and feed me.
You strengthen me when I am weak, heal me when I am sick, and bind up all my wounds.
Lord, you are my shepherd, the one who refreshes my soul, invites me to the table, and welcomes me to dwell in your house.
I am your LGBT child, baptized into your flock, O Lord.
My family and I cry out to you for shepherds here on earth—your church and among ourselves—who like you know us, feed us, care for us, and invite us to your table.
Amen.
